Would you believe this,
some people don’t appreciate
my doggerel,

but all I tell them
is that doggerel spelled backwards
spells

some kind
of Norwegian god-----
and they leave me alone.

Perhaps they think
I’m a Chicano Viking
and I will rape and pillage,

but I tell them no, no,
you’ve got me confused
with the Americans!
